Terms and Conditions -

These Terms and Conditions of Mark C Brown Limited apply to all sales from the online website www.markcbrown.co.uk and linked websites.

By placing your order with Mark C Brown Limited, you accept these as the only terms governing your order.

 

Who Are We? -

Mark C Brown Limited are located at 13 Baker Street, Hull, HU2 8HS and can be contacted by telephone during working hours 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday, Bank Holidays excluded, on 01482 225112 (direct line to Customer Services), fax 01482 214999, e-mail info@markcbrown.co.uk.

Mark C Brown Limited, established in 1936, are manufacturers of custom stamps and signs.  We also trade in related sign and badge products, servicing commercial, retail, hobby and private markets.

Mark C Brown Limited is a member of the Colop Group.  Colop are an Austrian based stamp component manufacturing company, addres: Dr,-Arming-Str.5, A-4600 Wels, Austria.

Mark C Brown Limited Company Number is 3175098, Registered in England, Registered Office: Essex House, Manor Street, Hull HU1 1XH.  VAT Registration Number is 647 5837 93.

Mark C Brown Limited are members of the British Printing Industries Federation, the Rubber Stamps Manufacturers Guild, the British Promotion and Merchandise Association, Aegraflex (European stamp makers association) and the International Marking Device Association (Worldwide engravers and stamp makers association).  Mark C Brown Limited have ISO 9001:2000 accreditation, registered with BSI, Membership Number 41102493.

 

Your Responsibilities -

As the person ordering the stamp/goods, you are responsible for ensuring that all the information entered is correct.  Please be careful when entering orders that you check your typed copy/product reference numbers.  It is also assumed that in ordering a stamp it will be for your normal commercial/private use; that it will not be used for any fraudulent purposes and that you are legally entitled to use any logos or similar devices in the normal course of your business/private activity.

We reserve the right not to manufacture any customised stamp, the content of which we may deem to be offensive.  You will be informed that we are unable to produce your order and any monies paid will be refunded in full.

 

Receiving Orders -

All stamp and sign orders are either manufactured or despatched from our factory/offices in Hull.

All price changes will be displayed on the website - the price of your order will be that advertised at the time of your order.

 

Custom Stamp and Sign Orders -

All orders placed are accepted as firm and binding, they may be produced within hours of receipt.  Therefore, any alterations or amendments can only be accepted without charge if production had not begun.  PLEASE BE CAREFUL TO FULLY CHECK ALL THE DETAILS OF YOUR ORDER, INCLUDING ALL TEXT ON A CUSTOM STAMP, BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER.

The ordering party is responsible for entering the correct e-mail address and full postal address, including the postcode, during the ordering process.

All orders received via the website will be acknowledged by a system generated e-mail.  If a system generated e-mail is not received, you shold assume your order has not been received and should contact 01482 225112 in the first instance.

As a custom stamp or sign is manufactured specifically for an individual, we can only accept returns for quality or where we have failed to meet our promise.  Such returns can only be accepted if notified within 7 days of receipt of order.

 

Orders for Stock Products -

It is usually possible to amend orders for stock products within the same working day as ordered.  You have the right to return any product within seven working days following the date of delivery, should it fail to meet with your expectations.  A full refund will be made, se Returns Policy below.

If there are any problems, we will notify the customer as soon as possible by the most appropriate method.

 

Return / Refund Policy -

All defective or incorrect products must be returned to Mark C. Brown Limited, at FREEPOST HU411, Hull, HU2 8BR within 7 working days of delivery.  Every endeavour will be made to correct the fault and/or supply replacement goods at no extra cost.  If the company is unable to do so, then a complete credit will be given to the value of the goods, plus any postage charges, including VAT at the rate charged.

Goods without any error/damage will not be taken back unless Mark C. Brown Limited agrees to do so.  Defective goods over 3 months old must be returned to Mark C. Brown for testing.  No refund can be given if goods are not returned.  If agreement is given, a minimum charge of 25% of the total order value will be charged to the ordering party.

Any compensation is limited to 50% of the total value of the order.

 

Product Guarantee -

All our products are made to the highest standards and carry a minimum guarantee period of one year, under normal usage condiditons.  This guarantee excludes self-inking stamps where a replacement pad is required, and pre-ink stamps and flash stamps, where the product needs re-inking.  Self-inking stamps, pre-ink stamps and flash stamps have a limited life of quality impressions before a new replacement pad or re-inking fluid needs to be applied.

 

Delivery Method -

All orders are despatched by Royal Mail First Class Post.  Although sending via First Class Post normally means next day arrival, THERE IS NO GUARANTEE this will happen.

A next day guaranteed delivery service is available for an additional charge.

Orders over £150.00 are despatched by private carrier and require a signature.

 

Postage Charges -

£1.25 + VAT.  Special Delivery is £5.50 + VAT

 

Lost Goods -

Should the goods fail to arrive within 10 days of ordering, please notify us on our customer care number 01482 225112.  In any event, failure to notify within 30 days will mean that we are unable to supply replacement goods without charge.

 

Payment Methods -

Most methods of payment (including American Express) can be accepted.  There is a secure credit card system through the website using WorldPay.

We accept credit card transactions over the telephone on our customer service line 01482 225112, 0800 to 1700, Monday to Friday, Bank Holidays excluded.  Cheques and Postal Orders can be sent to the office - Mark C Brown Limited, PO Box 69, Baker Street, Hull, HU2 8HS.  We can also accept BACS payments.

You must remember to quote your order reference when making payment.

 

Storage of Information -

With the exception of the details of the financial transaction, the details of your order will be retained for at least six months.
